Scott,

Was able to make a quick trip to an indoor range today after clearing out from a substantial winter storm. You can certainly use this to post on your site if you would like. Received the pistol back as promised Nice fit & finish on the Dawson adjustable sights & really help with precision shooting. This, coupled with the trigger job, had me punching the center of the X-ring with just 1 move of the rear sight! WOW -- what a difference these modifications make to bring the XD up to "competition ready". Thanks, Scott, for the great job! This shooter is a happy camper!

Hi Scott,

I just wanted to thank you for working on my (2) Springfield XD45s. I just got them back today via Fed EX and I plan to check them out at the local range this weekend. I was particularly impressed by the way you were able to get smooth, consistent trigger pulls with both my 5" and 4.25" versions, as well as take up the slack in the trigger re-set, something that the stock XD really needs. The very short turnaround time was also very impressive, as I am accustomed to waiting months for work to be performed by other gunsmiths.

Have a great Thanksgiving! - Dan N

Scott,

I received my XD9 back from you at 10:15 AM, and had it on the range shooting it at 1:30 PM. Ya, I know. What toke me so long to get there! Hey, afterall this is Miami and the traffic stinks. I believe it was Jackie Gleason who use to say, "How sweet it is". The trigger job you did rivals some of my $4000 race guns. Nice job! I can't wait to shoot it in an IPSC match on Sunday. I'll have another one for you shortly. My dealer hasn't shipped it yet!

Thanks again, Ed M

Scott,

I will have to say that this is a great product and would recommend it to any shooter. It reduced trigger travel tremendously, and the new weight is great for a crisp break. Everything dropped right into my Xd 45 with no problems. I always like my Xd but never really cared for the long trigger pull, so I never carried the weapon because I entrusted my 1911 with my life. I went to the rang to test everything with my friend who is a former Navy Seal and I quote him when he said " Wow, its been along time since a pistol has surprised me. This guy must know what he is doing." It has done everything you stated it would and when we drained 300 rounds through the weapon with only the sounds of rounds hitting steal down rang, I told my buddy that my 1911 maybe put in the safe for good!

Thank you for such a Great Product!! - Josh T

Mr. Springer,

I'm not sure if you will remember working on my X D this last week. But, I have got to take this time and write this Thank You note. Because! I had a very good stage at the National Match this week, the statge was 18. Fore a little back-ground. I was contestent 325 in Production. Though you will not be able to veryfiy this statement due to my not making the minor power factor and there-fore not recieving an offical score. I will tell you that I was un-offically 1st on that stage with a hit factor of 5.14. This I attribute to your timely excellent work on this firearm. This XD 9mm worked with your parts due to your Craftmenship on each and every Stage. Not one jam, Not one miss-fire, Not one lite primer strike. Through the rain in the mud and yes even in the sunsine. On each and every Stage it did it's work. Thanks!

Scott,

I finally went to the range following the trigger job you performed and realized what a difference it made. The new Dawson Precision night sites are also great. My groups at 30 feet are amazing (easily within 2 inches). That is much better than before (embarrassing 6 inches). I am brand new to pistol shooting but this gun is so easy to shoot well. I can shoot it as well as or better than my Kimber CDP. My only complaint is that I will need a new holster as the new DP front site is a little higher than the factory site and makes it difficult to get the gun out of the Blackhawk holster. Thanks for your good work.

David

Scott,

Just wanted to say thank you. Trigger is nice a smooth, 2 clicks to the left and I was zeroed. Hope to send you some more business soon.

Hi Scott,

A few months ago you did some work on my XD-9 (trigger, sights, etc). I've had a chance to put a couple thousand rounds through it and this gun is great. You did a fantastic job on the trigger and when I let other people shoot it they can't believe that a "plastic gun" can shoot so well. I like it so much I'm going to get another one after the first of the year. Of course, I'll be sending it to you so you can do your magic on it.

Thanks again for your excellent work. - Alan K

Hi Scott,

Just wanted to thank you for the advice. I put the parts in tonight. I put in the sear and then installed the trigger bar, started by filing the forward stop first so that the striker released properly, and so that I had enough upward movement on the firing pin block to release it. Then I filed the rear stop until the trigger safety released cleanly, and there was a bit of take up. I seem to have just a little over 1/4" of travel overall, half of what I had to start with. Also, the sear seems to break quite well. I like the feel of this set up much better than the stock one, as I have small hands and this will make things much easier for me. Will not be able to shoot it until next monday, but I am sure it will be great. When I have the cash I will no doubt be putting this stuff in both of my other XD's, and perhaps my wife will want it for both of hers as well. Time will tell. Thanks again for all your help on this, much appreciated!

Have a great weekend. - Peter

Scott,

After wrangling with Fed Ex to get my XD (they told me they called and my office wasn't open so they were not going to deliver it... I let them know that was not possible since I was IN my office at 9am, and the phone number they had was my cell and I received no calls... so I picked it up at their depot), I now have pistol happily back in hand. I am SO HAPPY with the work thus far. I can't wait for range time. Thank you so much for the exceptional level of craftsmanship and care you took with my pistol.

with respect and gratitude -Scott

Hi Scott-

Took my XD 9T out to the range and all I can say is "Wow!" The trigger is so different. I rented a standard XD tactical to compare the two. The best word to describe it is 'crisp.' My shot placement was noticeably improved although I don't know if it was because of the trigger, your sight installation, or the factory cleanup that you did. Probably all three with the added confidence that the work you've done has made my XD the best it can be. What made the service over the top was that you answered all of my emails so promptly. I've passed out your card at a couple of Springfield dealers and let a couple of guys dry-fire the trigger. They were really impressed - and even more so when I told them how much I paid - and the short turnaround time. The only problem is now I can't blame the gun! I will definitely ship my CZ-75 SP-01 to you when I decide to do some work on it.

Feel free to put my email into your well deserved testimonials section. - Luke C.

Scott Springer,

I have just recently purchased your drop-in Springer Precision trigger kit and trigger bar for my Springfield XD 40 Tactical. I shoot this gun on occasion in USPSA Production Division. These two items are awesome my production gun shoots just as good if not better then my two STI Edge 40 Limited guns with 2.5lb trigger pull. The trigger action is fast, crisp and precise as I need it. The pre-travel and reset is awesome. I would highly recommend these two items to anyone who's trying to improve the function of their gun (XD). Scott, thank you for your great service and assistance. Keep up the great work. Best Wishes,

Victor M, Louisiana

Scott,

I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for developing a fantastic trigger kit for the XD series pistols. I recently purchased the kit and a set of Tru Glo night sights. I received the parts yesterday and fit the sear and trigger bar last night. I installed the sights today and took the gun to my police department's range. After shooting approx. 150 rounds, all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!

Your parts have made the gun feel like a totally different gun. One of the problems I have always had with the XDs is the trigger reset. The trigger now feels more like a pivoting 1911. In my department, we can carry just about anything we want to as long as it is at least 9mm. When I started, more than half of the department carried a 1911. Now, we have about 10-12 people carrying the XD series including some of the diehard 1911 shooters. I am planning to get the word out on your trigger kits for the other XDs.

Keep up the good work and thanks again for a great product. - Sean A.

Scott,

We got Caleb's gun back today and we went out this evening to shoot after he finished his homework. He had no trouble shooting it. The reach for the trigger was perfect and he handled the recoil very well. Thank you for a fine, quality job with attention to who was going to be shooting the gun. I really appreciate it. Caleb said he really enjoyed shooting it. It was a little dark for video, but later this weekend when we go shoot again, I'll get some video to send you so you can see your work for him in action

Once again, thank you very much.

Scott,

Thanks for the great service on my XD9 Tactical. The competition trigger is fantastic and the envy of the club. It's impressive that I shipped you the gun on Monday and I was shooting a PPC event on Friday and a steel plate shoot on Sunday of the same week! Nicely done! Dave

hi scott,

got my xd 45 back last friday, put about 200 rounds through it over
the weekend.cant say enough about the work you did,the tru-glow sights are
great, big improvement over the factory sights, and the trigger work is awsome,i
really like the xd pistols my only bitch was the trigger, but now problem
solved, really tightned up my groups, ive recommended the xd's to a lot of my
friends and now i'll be recommending they send them off to you for trigger work.
could'nt be happier , thanks again , Troy

Scott,

I took the XD to the range last evening. Your work, completed in 4
days including shipping, has produced a weapon that rivals my Springfield
1911 (Black Stainless™ PX9152L). Just like the 1911, I am able to place 1" groups @ 15 yards with no problem. When I first purchase the 5" XD 45 ACP I was disappointed with groupings and consistency but you have cured that problem. The trigger job is superior and the Dawson Sights are just great. I will be sending you another 4" XD in the very near future. ~Sean

Hi Scott,

Received my XD45 back today. You did a really nice job on it. The trigger
pull is much much better and the sights are a big improvement over the
stock.

Thanks for the great job and the great customer service,

Tim

Scott the trigger work on my XD was outstanding and the service was faster
than a speeding bullet. You will getting more work from myself and friends
in the near future

- Capt. Larry

Scott,

Shipped you my 45 XD on Thursday, received it back with a 4.5 LB trigger, new TFO sights, polished feedramp on Tuesday. Don't you sleep? Anyway, the trigger job is very nice, seems like a totally different gun. I might just have a new carry gun.

Thanks Rob

I just wanted to drop you a line and say THANKS for the great service. I picked up my XD yesterday evening and was at the range today.. What a difference! I'm certainly NOT a marksman, but this was one of my best sessions at 10 yards I've had!

Thanks again!! Jack

Scott:

Just wanted to thank you for the great work you did on my XD45acp Tactical. The trigger feel is phenomenal. My groups have tightened up significantly. Interestingly my girlfriend, an absolute novice shooter, saw an even greater improvment. She had been pulling her shots down and left, considerably off target. After your trigger job she is now consistently putting her shots inside the 8 ring at 7 yards. This is a huge improvement which I attribute directly to your work.

Your service was phenomenal. Both your responses to my inquiries and the speed in which the work was done were phenomenal. I would highly recomend your services to both experienced, and perhaps even more so, newer shooters of the XD.

Best regards Rick K.

Evening, folks!

I just wanted to share with any XD owners out there considering a trigger job my experience with Springer Precision. Scott was an excellent fellow to work with throughout the whole affair. He responded very quickly to any and all questions in a generous manner, explaining various things to me without that "annoyed tone" to his typing. So alone on Customer service, I rate him at an A plus.

I had him do a 3lb trigger on my XD which also reduced the travel and reset and crisped up the break. His turn around was just short of astounding, less than 2 days! That's right, I shipped on Tuesday, he recieved weds and shipped thursday, I recieved it on friday.

After breaking her down to peek inside and giving her a nice bath to remove any possible leftovers, I took her out for a test drive. It was like a brand new pistol! Take-up was reduced to about 1/8" and the break came out right at the 3lbs I requested. Reset was also at about 1/8". Now all this is from a trigger that normally felt like a 1/4 MILE takeup with a muscle contracting 9lb break. The neatest part to the whole deal is the fact that his work is fully reversable unlike a few others out there offering trigger jobs.

Satisfied? Of course I am, and in MHO, I believe he is going to make quite an impact in an XD's overall preformance. As for the prices he charges combined with the amazing turnaround, he is surely beating out a few others. This is not meant to slight any other 'smiths out there, but merely based on my personal experience with Springer.

Sorry to make such a long post, but for the amazing value he offers, I felt it was the least I could do.

Scott is definitely one of the best. he recently did my trigger and it is unbelievable. it has put a lot of smiles on a lot of ppl's faces at the range. i can't stress enough how great of an experience you will have. here's my experience and i am sure there are many more just like it.

i talked to him a week before i planned on sending the gun out. we worked things out and i dropped of the gun on monday. it got to scott's place on tuesday and i received it back on thursday, OF THE SAME WEEK! scott picked up the extra shipping when i didn't send him the correct amount for that and didn't even ask for it back. scott has definitely gone above and beyond for me and i wholeheartedly recommend his services.

most of you guys may not believe that someone else has perfected the xd trigger but i have felt the others and scott's edges past them. you don't loose anything so drop him an email and get a lightning fast action.

I have had two trigger jobs done by Scott so far. His work is second to none. He does literally make the trigger feel like a very good 1911 trigger job.

I just bought a new XD9 Tactical that will be on its way to Scott soon. I'm looking forward to battling with the Glocks in the USPSA Production class. Gear Head

Springer Precision rocks!!!

10 of us from TXDPSA.com sent our guns to Springer Precision last week to have our triggers worked on. We were on a time crunch. Guns were sent on Monday. They arrived to Oregon on Tuesday and delivered back to Houston on Thursday. The match was today, Saturday. Needless to say Scott met and exceeded our expectations. The box of guns arrived back to Houston on Friday. Talk about service!

The triggers turned out very nice. Pre-travel is pretty much gone. Maybe 1/8" is left. The break is clean and reset short. My trigger was set at ~2.5#. Just the way I like it. Most were 3# jobs.. There were two others that had ~2.5# triggers. Most of us shot our guns today at the local match. There wasn't any trigger job related failures. Our guns ran like they were supposed to. Everyone that tried out the triggers liked them.

Without stepping on anyone's toes, I personally like this trigger job better than the other guy's. I've owned one before so I can make that judgement. Just to be fair, both do a spectacular job each with their own method. Scott was really helpful with the whole process. Customer service is top notch. He was easily accessible when I had questions about the trigger jobs. He didn't leave us in the dark and actually gave us a group discount.

Thanks again Springer Precision!

I did not get to shoot my 45 TAC yesterday, so I was not entirely sure what to expect today. I almost did not shoot it at the match for that reason!

What I can tell you is this..... THAT TRIGGER JOB ROCKS!

I got the 2.5lb trigger and it is smooth. I had no problems with it at all and it shot very well today! This is deffinitely going to be my competition gun from here on out! I am looking forward to shooting it more now and cant wait to get it back to the range! (just gotta buy some more ammo)

I would like to thank Scott for the excellent work and AWESOME turnaround time!
I will give you mad props everywhere I go!
